How the program works

It takes a whole village – or city! – to make mentoring happen! TRIEC Mentoring Partnership is run by different types of partner, who all work together to keep the program running.

The Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) manages the program. 12 Community Partners do the matching, as well as recruiting, registering, and coaching participants.

Employer partners offer mentoring as a professional development opportunity for their staff, significantly boosting the number of mentors who enter the program.

Finally, five settlement and employment agencies refer their newcomer clients to mentoring as a way of finding meaningful employment. To find out more about becoming a referral partner, email TRIEC Mentoring Partnership Team.
